Here at Monteum we sell our fish to both the retail & wholesale markets through our fish shop, La Poissonnerie, as well as exporting to Europe. Fresh fish is landed daily onto our quayside in Shoreham-By-Sea, West Sussex and is on display within the Fishmongers within a matter of hours of being caught.

La Poissonnerie offers fresh local and imported fish to customers located between Brighton & Littlehampton and their surrounding areas as well as offering a delivery service to South East England. Orders can be placed by telephoning us directly on 07483 429198.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Was looking for a Shellfish treat for a significant Birthday last weekend, something you'd think would be easy to find in Brighton... it wasn't!!

But finally came across these guys who said on the phone they could do it, but wouldn't give me a price or let me pay them upfront... but promised me it'd be ready to collect at 12:45 on a Sunday...

Hoping for the best, I turned up at the specified time, to find this STUNNING platter waiting for me on ice.

This was a two person platter and they charged just £60 for it. It was CRAMMED with the freshest tasting Shellfish including 4 Oysters, 8 Crevettes and a whole Lobster.

It was amazing at the time, and the stock I made from the scraps was just as incredible.

I HIGHLY recommend using these guys for any special occasions or just a Shellfish treat!!

Tip to the team: You need to market yourselves more. This food was SOO good, there's 000's of people in town who'd pay for this....if only they knew you offered it!! Thank you 🙏

Had crab, crayfish, prawns and jurassic sized langoustines. Simply put delicious. Never had a problem with product or service here, highly recommend.

Wouldn’t go anywhere else and am so spoiled that I can’t eat supermarket fish anymore. Great prices too, they’ll also clean and gut the fish for you

Only downside (not their land I’m sure) is the massive potholes outside the shop. Be careful driving in when it’s wet as they fill with water hiding how deep and rocky they are. The shop is great however and never been disappointed!

Decent selection of frozen king prawns in the freezer.

I have used this shop occasionally in the last 16 years, they used to be very expensive and lack of customer service.  Now they have improved significantly throughout the years, prices are more in line with the one in Hove Lagoon and other competitors,  and now we are getting more smile and help from the store staff.

And this is the only fishmonger open on Sunday till 1pm in the area.
